Have You Met Mr. Smith?

From a young age, David Justin has been always immersed in the beauty industry. His mother, Freda Rossidis, is renowned as one of Australia’s leading hair stylists who regularly works with luxury international brands including Chanel, Prada, Dior and Fendi.

Raised on shampoo and conditioner, it wasn’t long until David would follow in his mother’s footsteps and quickly noticed a gap in the market. With no haircare brands on the market that spoke to him and his peers, David had the vision to create exceptional Australian-made haircare products that were dedicated to style, substance and simplicity. And so, Mr. Smith was born.

Since launching into the market in 2014 with the Balancing Shampoo & Conditioner, it is safe to say that there has been no slowing down for Mr. Smith. In the 4 years since the brand’s inception, Mr. Smith has added a further 20 products to their impressive collection. The proudly Aussie brand is now stocked in 10 different countries and is still continually developing new products based on the feedback from their creative team, customers, stockists and research. The team explains that although some products can be pretty quick to develop, others can take much longer.

“We are meticulous, so a product isn’t released into the market until we have extensively tested and are 100% happy with it.” Says Mr. Smith representative, Monica Costello.

Aside from the popular packaging, delicious scent and amazing results of the Mr. Smith products, the brand is blazing its own trail in the industry by boasting sulphate-free and paraben-free hair care that is also vegan-friendly.

Today, consumers are more informed than ever before and know exactly what they want and don’t want in their products.

Understanding that their customers want what’s best for themselves and the environment, all while keeping luxury, style and performance at the forefront of their ethos, it’s no surprise that Mr Smith is a cut above the rest when it comes to well-formulated products that actually work.
